Bethanie Communications Course 2021

This course targets carers and hospitality staff, working in residential aged care  in Australia.

The broad aims of the  course are:

 to raise awareness of cultural differences in professional and social situations and how these differences impact communication.

 to broaden understanding of developing work relationships through a deeper comprehension of cultural and social differences.

 to expand the clients’ professional language competencies in their own roles in the aged care and internal work environment. 

 to develop general communication and teamwork skills and to reflect on how these promote a positive working environment.

 to extend the participants’ Technical English Language Skills necessary to function in an English-speaking aged care work environment.

 to introduce the participants to Australia, its people and society, to the culture and conventions of Australian workplaces
