Bethanie Communications Course 2021
This course targets carers and hospitality staff, working in residential aged care in Australia.
The broad aims of the course are:
to raise awareness of cultural differences in professional and social situations and how these differences impact communication.
to broaden understanding of developing work relationships through a deeper comprehension of cultural and social differences.
to expand the clients’ professional language competencies in their own roles in the aged care and internal work environment.
to develop general communication and teamwork skills and to reflect on how these promote a positive working environment.
to extend the participants’ Technical English Language Skills necessary to function in an English-speaking aged care work environment.
to introduce the participants to Australia, its people and society, to the culture and conventions of Australian workplaces
